Madison Lynn Hatfield

There is no doubt about it, our baby is a girl! She did'nt want to show us much today, it was like she was sayin "ok, I will let you all know that I am a girl, but that is it, no more!" She stayed curled up in a ball and we were not able to see all 4 chambers of the heart and her spine. They also wanted to see her profile but she would'nt let us have that either. My mom and Lane's mom and Lane were there for the ultrasound. It was really nice to have all of them there for this experiance. My mom wanted a girl and Lane's mom wanted a boy, Lane wanted a girl also. Mom and Lane got what they wanted, but poor Carol is gonna have to wait for her little grandson. I think we all got a little teary when we saw her moving around and knowing that it was a little girl in there. After seeing our little girl, Lane and I went to Babies-R-Us and looked at little girl things, we got really excited to think of our little girl in those cute little clothes! My next appointment is June 11, and we will have another ultrasound to see if we can get a gander at her heart chambers, spine and profile. We will chat again then! Til then, have a good 4 weeks!

Lane and I went to the doctor and there is not much to report other than we find out the sex on May 14. Dr. Voss said that the baby has a good strong heart beat, so we are really excited about that! Now we are just waiting for another month to go by... we just have to wait for May 14. Hope all is well with you and yours have a great month! our next blog will be about our little boy or girl!

11 weeks and 6 days

Funny story... I went to the doctor on March 12 for my second appt. and the nurse couldnt find my little baby's heart beat. So of course I was a little freaked out... "My baby doesnt have a heartbeat? Whats going on?" is what I am thinking... So then the nurse says "Well, I think we are just going to have to do an ultrasound." Then I get REALLY excited because that means that I am going to be able to see my little blob again, which is VERY exciting! The Doctor gets everything set up for the ultrasound... and we find out why we couldnt hear the heartbeat... my baby would not stop moving. It was waving its arms and legs and just goin to town! I was very glad to see that was the reason for me not to be able to hear the heartbeat, and I felt like saying "Dont you ever scare mommy like that again!" which im sure there will be many more years of me saying that! So enjoy the pic, and my next doctor appt is April 8, so I will have another blog after that. Talk to ya'll soon!
